x A matrix of real or complex numbers.

y The inverse discrete Fourier transform of the input.


Description
The function returns the inverse discrete Fourier transform of the input vector x . The inverse transform is computed directly, so the size of the input vector need not be a power of 2. If the input is a matrix, the idft of each column is computed separately. Unless the size of x is small, this is much slower than ifft .
