deriv
differentiation of a real function of one real variable.
yp=deriv(func, v)
Inputs
func A function object representing a function of the form y=f(x) which returns the value of the function whose derivative is to be calculated.
v The value of x at which the derivative is required.
Outputs
yp the derivative of the specified function with respect to the argument value at v .


Description
deriv uses an automatic differentiation algorithm implemented in a Mathnium class der . Consequently, not all functions may be differentiated by using this function. Typically, this function should be used only for those functions that are defined in terms of scalar arithmetic operations and elementary mathematical functions. For all other cases, the function nderiv should be used.
